Text to a table
Let’s say you get the result from R. I think it would be nice to tabulate this material.
After pasting the data into Excel, select ‘Text to Columns’ under ‘Data’.
Choose between “Delimited” or “Fixed Width. “
The appropriate divider is automatically created, which you can move, delete, or add. I dragged the last divider to move it.
The following format it appropriately. Specify whether it is a number, letter, or date.
Now that it’s properly separated, you can specify the borders, etc., and then copy and paste them into Word or PowerPoint to use as a table.
‘Using separators’ is sometimes very useful, depending on the nature of the data.
